In an initial stage of his work, ]acques Lacan was deeplyinfluenced by the phenomenological-existential doctrine. However, in participating in this movement, Lacan introduced an important difference promoting an enlargement of rhe conception of meaning valid until rhen. Contrary to Karl]asper's thinking, meaning wasn'tsomething understandable immediately. The staternent that meaning is not always apprehended as an evidence will allow Lacan to introduce madness into the sphere of meaning, considering it like an experience that supposes a free and responsible subject. The purpose of this workis to show that Lacan occupies arare position towards the psychiatry at the that time, in a way that he opposed simultaneously the thesis of organogenesis - that considered that psychopatology was an organic phenomenon, not semantic - and the thesis of psychogenesis - to whom psychopatology could be placed inside the meaning sphere, identified here to sornething understandable.Downloads
