Abstract

It is well known that the theme of the true and false Self is relevant to Winnicott, but it is also relevant to Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy. Therefore, when I was given the privilege of participating in a collection in honor of Zeljko Loparic's 80th birthday, I thought that my contribution could be made in a form that I know the honoree prefers, and which has marked our relationship since we first met: intense philosophical discussion on topics of common interest.
