O legado de Winnicott: prevenção na área de saúde mental

Abstract

In formulating the crucial importance of the environment for the constitution of the individual and for the aetiology of psychic disorders, and inpointing out another meaning for cure than the mere eradication of illness, Winnicott’s theory enables us to think in terms of procedures and even of prevention policies for different psychic and social disorders, inparticular those rooted in environmental failures, as will be discussed in the present study.
