Copernican revolution: the psychoanalisys before modernity

Abstract

This article presents some relations between Freudianpsychoanalisys and modern subjectivity. Ir is als o proposed a differentiation between modern and contemporary times and its consequences to our clinical work today. From theFreudian postulare according to wich the narcisistic wound inflicred in Men by psychoanalisys, under the expression "copernician revolution", it is explored Freud' s ambiguity towards Modernity. From one side, his critical thought takes as target the fundament of Modernity: the subject. But, from the other side, the whole Freudian systern relates himself to an experience of interioriry characteristicaly modern, peculiar of the neurotic functioning of the mind, wich seems to be desapearing in the conternporary world.
