Abstract

Our paper is about the meaning of the subversion of thesubject by psychoanalysis. It is necessary to understand this in order to avoid the project of naturalization, which we believe to be an attempt to hide the question implied in the term subject. What we intend to demonstrare is that the task to subvert the subject means a refusal of an a priori, such as it was defended by the traditional philosophy of the subject (Badiou, 1997), but also nor a support to the naturalization of the subject, such as defended by psychologism. We want to point out that psychoanalysis, in subverting the subject, intends to modify the terms in which the debate berween a priori and naturalism places rhe problem of the subject. The subversion would indicate, then, a change in the principIes more than taking sides inthe debate between the a priori of subject and its naturalization.
