Abstract

This text aims to elucidate some of the key aspects that constitute a "Decolonial Attitude" in Phenomenological-Hermeneutic-based Psychotherapy. Among them are the intersectional analysis of the historical horizon of both the therapist and the patient; the practice of a loving ethics aimed at spiritual growth, as described by bell hooks; the facilitation of first-person narrative, as highlighted by Grada Kilomba; and, finally, the support of meditative thinking on the meaning of existence as a resource in dealing with original anguish, as indicated by Martin Heidegger.
