Abstract

Technique or technology changes the human beings’ way of being and acting. That is why it becomes an object of study of philosophy. Regarding the ethical issue, the political dimension of the risks and damages arising from technological development is analyzed. In this article, this observation is divided into two thematic categories: Biotechnologies and Environment. In both cases it is possible to conclude that the same power dynamics relations and vulnerabilities already observed in society are reflected and even amplified by the consequences of technological development. In order to observe this multifaceted phenomenon, bioethics as an inter and multidisciplinary field of study may be the appropriate field of dialogue as long as attention is paid to the theoretical foundations originating from philosophy and other areas of knowledge.
