Abstract

The present article has as an objective the reflection about some possibilities of intervention based in the Theory of Personal Maturing, by D.W.Winnicott, psychoanalyst and pediatrician, whose psychoanalysis runs from the standards established by the Traditional Psychoanalysis, as in relation to the theory, as to the practical part. Following Winnicott’s proposal we denominated the different interventions made as preventives and/or therapeutic. The preventive interventions are the ones focused in the modifications of the environmental conditions, considering the importance of this process in the development. The therapeutic interventions are the ones focused in the person, these ones try to offer favorable conditions to the retaking of the development of those who live critical situations that interfere significantly in their lives. We highlight the possibilities offered by the Winnicott’s theory for the interventions made in institutions – such as hospitals, rehab centers, children shelters and others. Keywords: Winnicott, Preventive interventions, Therapeutic interventions, Theory of emotional development.
