The enough symbolic father?

The criticism of the idea that Winnicott did not established an enough position for the father within his theory has still been existent in France. This article is written as a trial to show that this conception might be different. As the child isdirectly linked to the mother "so that the mother is within the child’s psychic reality", this means, with the mother’s man “forward her”, the child is also linked to the father for who he is –what distinguish him by other men. What characterizes Winnicott it is his insistence in the fact that the father is thought as a whole person from the start, the one who will guide the child at the moment that he or she starts to realize himself or herself as a unity and thus the father can be used as a tracing for the child own integrity. In other words, it is the role of the father beside the mother that will enable the child to experience his or her destructiveness and later it will introduce the child to the symbolic order.References
